The first aluminium alloy Custom Line is under construction
Custom Line has released the first details of its most recent project – the 49.9m Custom Line Navetta 50, now under construction. The four-deck yacht is not only the new flagship, but also the first aluminium alloy Custom Line vessel. The superyacht is set to hit the water in 2024.
The aluminium yacht of under 500 GT has the exterior styling by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel from ACPV Architects.
The owner’s suite offers 180-degree views from the suite’s floor-to-ceiling windows and has direct access to a large private terrace in the bow. Making the most of the yacht’s 9.6-metre beam, the suite features a freestanding bed in the centre of the room.
Four guest cabins on the lower deck allow for a total of 10 passengers onboard. There are also rooms for up to nine crew, including the captain.
Extra attention was given to the outdoor spaces like the open-air beach club with a rectangular swimming pool, the large customisable bow area and the sundeck with a 70-square-metre enclosed space for dining and drinks.
Natural leathers have been used in various finishes and for custom-designed furnishings. Certified and sustainable Alpi Lignum walnut panelling was selected for its lack of added toxins, and Foglizzo natural hides and leathers are sourced from 100 per cent recycled materials and reused leather.
The choice of a lighter-weight aluminium hull and superstructure, rather than steel, reduces the yacht’s weight by a third and enables Custom Line to create volume in the upper parts without compromising stability. As a result, the fuel consumption is cut by around 10 to 15 per cent in comparison to a 50-metre boat of the same size and volume.
